Excel is a one-stop-shop for those wanting to experience an international education while being deeply immersed in Canadian culture. We established Excel in London, Ontario, Canada in 2013, and since that time, have been helping international students find the right program for their needs and interests while assisting them to integrate into Canadian life.
We, Ronaldo Terra and Julia Oliveira Wiggett, are Brazilian-Canadians, who know the challenges facing foreign students coming to Canada, as well as the resources, agencies, schools, and programs available to new-comers that can help them acquire the language skills needed to further their education and adjust to their new home. As the owners and operators of Excel, we have dedicated our lives to people like you; people interested in experiencing Canada and all it has to offer. Our mission is to make the world a better place by sharing our cultural diversity. We invite you to be part of this mission.
Although Excel is based in London, Ontario, we are able to help students find programs and support throughout Canada. We understand that coming to Canada is a complex task that requires the right paperwork, a good fit between you and the city in which you choose to live, and the right educational institution to help you achieve your goals. We are here to help you through the process, from planning your stay to executing it successfully.
Initially, we will spend time with you to better understand your goals and determine your needs. We will help you get the documentation you need to study in Canada, complete your school enrollment application forms, and access the information you need to help you settle in Canada more quickly and easily. We are your partners throughout the process, from start to finish.
Below, you will find a brief description of some of the study programs available in Canada.
English/French as a Second Language
We will help you find the best option to help you fulfill your academic and career goals.
Pathway (on-campus or online)
Pathway programs enable you to begin your studies in Canada by placing you in a program geared to your level of language proficiency. Pathway programs help students meet the language requirements needed to enter a college or university within Canada. If you successfully graduate from a Pathway program, you may be accepted to a college or university without having to pass one of the English proficiency exams (IELTS, CAEL, or TOEFL) commonly recognized by Canadian colleges and universities.
Enrolling in a Canadian high school is an excellent way to advance your language skills while broadening your general knowledge. It is also a great way to make new friends. We work with excellent schools in various cities throughout Canada.
College/University (undergraduate and graduate programs)
This option is for you if you are looking for ways in which to upgrade your professional skills or start a new career. In most cases, you will be able to work after your graduation. In most cases, you will be allowed to work part-time (20-hours per week), while you are enrolled in a college or university program. In addition, Canadian work experience and studying in Canada can help you gain extra points in your future immigration process, should you decide you would like to stay here.
Work Study Programs
Work Study Programs offer students an opportunity to develop career-related skills and experience while advancing their studies. They also make studying in Canada more financially viable for many students. We can help you find a Work Study Program suited to your needs and interests.
